At Awaken, we want everything about us to declare that Jesus Christ is more desirable and satisfying than all the pleasures of the world combined. We encourage each another to engage in weekly worship services, connect through community groups, and find places in which to serve one another first in the church, then in our community and around the world.
We believe that God completes the work He’s begun in us, through the same “ordinary means of Grace” that the Church has benefited from for 2000 years. The bible, prayer, and fellowship (particularly baptism and communion) are the means by which we mature as believers and experience a fuller knowledge and happiness in God. Every aspect our our gathering, and other aspects of the church, are to grow through these means.
Our Story
Awaken Church started two years ago with 12 people in a living room. Our goal was two fold; First, we wanted to grow in our knowledge of God and increase in our delight in Him. Second, we wanted to proclaim God’s unchanging Gospel, to a rapidly changing world.
The church and grown and changed a lot over the last two years, but our desire is still the same. Every week we gather together to accomplish that same purpose. Awaken is still a young church, but God has been and will continue to graciously lead us and establish His church here.
We thank God for all He has done and all He has yet to do. We trust Him and we are (if the Lord wills) looking forward to many decades of growing in Christ together.
